Irymple Green Belt

Irymple Green Belt is the easy answer when you want a steady on-lead walk in Irymple without dodging main-road traffic. The landscaped path runs roughly two kilometres from Fifteenth Street to Pianta Parade, between Koorlong and Karadoc Avenues.

Lead rules

Keep your dog on lead the whole way. Mildura Rural City Council requires dogs to be leashed in its public reserves and urban areas, and the belt is a shared path used by walkers and cyclists.

The walk

It is flat and simple underfoot, a mix of paved and dirt path, winding through plantings shaped by the district's old citrus and vineyard irrigation.

Mature trees and neighbouring gardens give patchy shade, but some stretches sit in full sun.

Water, bins and parking

There is little in the way of water on the path, so carry enough for the dog. Bins are sparse too, so plan to take bags home.

Street parking is easy at the cross-streets, including Ysonde Avenue, Fifteenth Street and Pianta Parade.

Make a day of it

Finish with a coffee at Mocha Mecca Mildura South.

Go early in the morning or in the evening over summer, when the exposed sections are cooler. The flat, even route suits older dogs and anyone after a routine daily walk.
