Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve

The walking track here circles Epsom Huntly Recreation Reserve on the Midland Highway in Huntly. The draw is a flat perimeter walk on lead, then a signed off-leash oval to finish.

Leads and the off-leash oval

The City of Greater Bendigo signs AFL Field 2 as an off-leash area, but only when it is not being used for sport, training or events.

Dogs are not allowed on AFL Field 1 or Pitch 5. In shared spaces and the car parks, they stay on a lead.

Max: Look across Field 2 before you unclip. If a session is on, the off-leash rule is off.

The walk

Asphalt, concrete, gravel and natural ground run around the sporting fields, pitches and pavilions. It is flat and open, good for an on-lead warm-up lap before the oval or a cool-down after.

What's there

A public water tap sits near the tennis and netball courts, so bring a bowl. The large car park has a bin, and shade is limited to the coaches' boxes.
