Moores Creek Park

Moores Creek Park on Guthrie Street is a neighbourhood green space in Frenchville, near the creek and the foot of Mount Archer. It suits a short, easy walk with your dog on lead.

The walk

Concrete and mown grass paths cross open lawn and pass stands of local trees. There is no long track here, just a pleasant lap of the park.

Lead rules

Rockhampton Regional Council allows dogs on lead in its parks and reserves unless an area is signed for off-lead use, and this park is not. Keep the lead on for the full lap.

Rockhampton heat is real, so walk early or late and bring water for the dog. The flat paths suit older dogs.
