Ernie Smith Reserve

Ernie Smith Reserve is Moorebank's busy sports and community ground, and for dog owners the handy detail is a bubbler with a built-in dog bowl. Dogs are welcome on a lead along the walkways and open grass.

Lead rules

Liverpool City Council manages the reserve, and it is not an off-leash area. Keep dogs off the playing surfaces while matches are on.

The walk

Paved paths and concrete footpaths loop around the sports fields and along the park boundary. Scattered trees and structures offer some shade at the edges, but the fields themselves are exposed.

Getting started

There is on-site parking near the fields, though it fills during weekend sport. You will find bins on site, and the water bubblers with dog bowls are near the skate park.

Make a day of it

For fenced off-lead play, head across the river to Casula Parklands. Piccolo Me Moorebank is close by for coffee.

Skip weekend fixtures if you want a quiet lap. The flat paths suit dogs of any age, but pick a cooler hour in summer.
