Raby Bay Foreshore Park

Raby Bay Foreshore Park runs along the water on Masthead Drive in Cleveland, just over the line from Ormiston. Its flat paths are on-lead, but a designated dog beach at one end lets dogs off to swim in the bay.

Leads and the off-lead area

Redland City Council requires dogs to be on lead through the parkland, pathways and picnic areas. The only off-lead part is the signed Raby Bay Dog Beach section of the foreshore.

Clip the lead back on as you leave the sand and rejoin the path.

The walk

Sealed, flat concrete paths follow the foreshore past grassy picnic spots and sandy coves, with wide views over Moreton Bay. The paths are shared with cyclists and suit wheelchairs and prams.

Water and wash-down

Near the dog beach there are taps and showers for rinsing sandy paws. Water bowls, bag dispensers and bins sit along the foreshore, with toilets, barbecues and picnic shelters close by.

Pepsi: The coves are calm and shallow, just right for a paddle. Use the rinse taps before the car ride home.

Crusoe Cafe in Cleveland is close for a coffee, and the Redlands Softball Park off-leash area in Ormiston is another place to run.

When to go

The flat paths suit older dogs year round. In summer, the dog beach makes it a good outing for water lovers.
