Christie Creek Linear Trail

The Christie Creek Linear Trail, often called Christies Creek Linear Park, follows the creek inland from the Coast Park Trail at Christies Beach. It passes through Christie Downs and ends at Wilfred Taylor Reserve in Morphett Vale, with dogs on lead the whole way.

Lead rules

The City of Onkaparinga requires dogs to be leashed on its reserves and shared paths unless you are inside a fenced dog park. This trail has no off-lead section.

The walk

Most of it is a paved shared path, though some stretches through Christie Downs are still natural or unsealed. Native trees line the creek, and the route links playgrounds, sports grounds and local reserves.

Bins sit at key entry points and junctions. Shade comes and goes, so carry water and a bowl, and use the street parking on the residential roads that cross the trail.

Make a day of it

Start at the beach end and finish with a coffee at Double Drop Espresso in Christies Beach.

Cyclists share the path, so it suits calm dogs on a short lead. Walk it in the cooler part of the day in summer.
