Burrows Park

Burrows Park sits on the clifftops above Clovelly Bay, with open lawn, big ocean views and a signed off-lead area run by Randwick City Council. It links straight into the coastal walk, so one outing can mix a run with a stroll.

Leads and the off-lead area

Dogs can run off lead in the signed off-lead part of the park, as long as they stay under effective control. They are not allowed on the sports field, and must be on lead everywhere outside the off-lead area.

The walk

Wide paved coastal walkways run past grassy parkland and remnant coastal bushland, with sweeping views over Clovelly Bay. Dogs are welcome on lead along the coastal path, but not on the sand below.

Water and shade

There are water taps, bins, toilets, picnic tables and an outdoor gym. Shade is scarce on the exposed clifftop, which makes hot afternoons hard going.

Street parking is on Ocean Street and nearby streets, and it can fill up on busy weekends.

Make a day of it

Carry on along the coast with the Coogee to North End Maroubra Beach walk, or grab a coffee at Seasalt Clovelly.

When to go

Weekdays are easier for parking. Cooler mornings suit best, and ball-mad dogs need watching near the sports field boundary.
