The walk
Paths are concrete and bitumen through turf and shaded lawns, with the pool and civic buildings close by. It is a short circuit rather than a long walk.

For a proper off-lead run, head to Plantation Park Off Leash Dog Park. For a longer walk, the Burdekin River Walk is also in Ayr.
When to go
North Queensland heat makes early morning or late afternoon the time to go. Bring water for the dog and use the shade.
