Wodonga Holiday Park

Wodonga Holiday Park is a large caravan and cabin park at 65 McKoy Street, West Wodonga, handy to the town centre and the Hume Highway crossing at Albury-Wodonga. It is a practical stop for road-trippers with a dog: pets are welcome in designated pet-friendly cabins and on powered and unpowered sites, including drive-through sites that let you stay hooked up for an overnight, subject to the managers' discretion.

Dogs at the Wodonga Holiday Park

The rules are clear and enforced: dogs stay on a lead no longer than two metres at all times outside your site or cabin, cannot be left unattended, and are not permitted in the common facility areas such as the pool and camp kitchen. Pet-friendly cabin inventory is limited and pets are not allowed in standard cabins, so book ahead and declare your dog at the time of booking rather than on arrival. A cleaning fee may apply if the pet rules are breached. The park also has its own on-site dog run, an off-lead space where a dog can stretch its legs after a long drive.

The park

Expect a busy, family-oriented park with a mix of shady grassed and drive-through sites plus cabin accommodation, popular with grey nomads and families passing through the Murray region. Facilities run to a pool, jumping pillow and mini golf, so bring the lead and be ready for company around the grounds in school holidays.

While you're out there

For a proper off-lead session, Belvoir Park Dog Park is a short drive away. Daintree Cafe in West Wodonga is a local coffee stop. If the pet cabins are booked out, Albury Holiday Park across the border in Lavington also takes dogs in pet-friendly cabins and on sites.

Before you book

Confirm pet site or cabin availability and the current fee structure when you book, and note any maximum pet limits. Good for a straightforward overnight or a few nights with a well-behaved dog; less suited to an anxious dog that barks when left alone, since unattended pets are the one rule that gets dogs shown the gate.
