Discovery Parks - Bunbury Village is a holiday park at Lot 2 Bussell Highway in Usher, on Bunbury's southern side and a short drive from the city centre and Koombana Bay. It is a pet-friendly park, but the dog rules hinge on where you sleep: dogs belong with you in your own caravan or tent on a camping site, and whether any cabin here takes dogs needs to be confirmed before you book.

Dogs at Discovery Parks Bunbury Village

Dogs are generally permitted in guest-owned caravans and tents on powered and unpowered sites, and Discovery Parks runs pet-friendly cabins at some parks, though that is not confirmed for every accommodation type at Bunbury Village, so ask. Declare your pet when booking rather than assuming approval at check-in. Inside the park, dogs stay on a leash at all times outside your setup, cannot be left unattended, are not welcome in the camp kitchen or around the pool, and you clean up immediately. Pet fees were not confirmed in public listings, so get the exact conditions from the park when you reserve a site.

The park itself

Alongside the sites there are cabins and motel-style rooms. Facilities include a camp kitchen with kitchenettes, BBQ areas, clean shared ablutions, a swimming pool, playground, mini golf and a bounce pillow, which makes it a family park first. Ratings sit around 4.1 from a large guest base, with the shared amenities and the highway convenience the usual mentions. Busselton is about 20 minutes south.

Getting there and parking

The entrance is directly off Bussell Highway, so access from Bunbury or from the south is quick, with free onsite parking at your site. Bunbury's city centre and the Koombana Bay foreshore are a short drive north.

Close by with the dogs

The City of Bunbury publishes dog exercise area maps covering off-leash zones, so check the council's current pages before letting your dog run. For a lead walk close to the park, Tuart's Circuit near Ocean Drive in Usher is a bushland loop.
