Reflections Evans Head - Holiday Park

Reflections Evans Head is a large waterside holiday park at 18 Park Street in Evans Head, on the Far North Coast, sitting close to the Evans River foreshore and the town's surf beaches. It is one of the better-equipped dog-welcome bases on this stretch of coast: dogs are allowed in designated dog-friendly cabins and on approved powered sites, with the river, a 4WD beach access and an off-leash beach stretch all minutes away.

Dogs at the Reflections Evans Head

Up to two dogs are permitted per approved site or cabin booking, but only in the designated dog-friendly accommodation, so declare your dog at the time of booking and book the right category; arriving with an undeclared dog risks your booking. There is generally no separate nightly pet fee, though confirm for your dates. Outside your site or cabin, dogs stay on a lead of two metres or less, they are barred from amenity blocks, camp kitchens and laundries, and constant supervision applies, with nuisance barking grounds to end a stay. Some powered sites include fenced enclosures, which is worth requesting.

Max: book the dog-approved cabin category, not a standard one and a hopeful phone call. The park enforces its dog zones.

The vibe

This is a family-oriented park with a large review base rating it above four stars, set up for coastal holidays and longer stays rather than a quick overnight. The setting does the work: river on one side, surf beach on the other, and Evans Head's low-key village, fish and chips and the famous 4WD beach culture all close by.

Getting there and parking

Evans Head sits off the Pacific Highway between Ballina and Woodburn, about 40 minutes south of Ballina Byron Gateway Airport and roughly seven hours from Sydney. The park has on-site parking at your site or cabin, and once you are in town, most of it, including the beach entries, is walkable.

While you're out there

The 4WD and Dog Beach Entry off Terrace Street leads to the off-leash stretch of Air Force Beach north of the access point. After the beach, Muzza's Milk Bar is the classic town stop, and if the park is full, Sandy Bay Holiday Park at Broadwater is a pet-friendly option up the highway.
