Mountain Rivers Tourist Park is a hillside caravan park and campground in Rawson, positioned as a base for exploring Walhalla, the Thomson Valley and Mount Baw Baw. Dogs are allowed, but only in the campground, and only with management's sign-off first.

The place. Twelve hillside powered and unpowered sites plus three campground cubby bedrooms, set in Gippsland forest. The park is not set up for large motorhomes or caravans over about 6 metres. Bring your own water bowls and food, as pet amenities aren't provided.

Location & nearby. Walhalla Historic Township is about 20 minutes away and popular for an on-leash wander down the main street. Erica State Forest has walking tracks nearby, and Coopers Creek on the Thomson River is a good family walking spot a short drive away.
