Dogs at the park

Call the park directly before booking to confirm a pet-friendly site or cabin for your dates. Once you're in, the leash rule is simple: dogs stay on a leash at all times within the park. Fees and weight limits aren't published, so confirm both when you book, and ask whether your cabin allows dogs on furniture or carpeted areas before you arrive. Bring your dog's own bed and bowls, as in-cabin pet extras aren't guaranteed.

One honest caveat: some third-party booking sites list this park as no-pets. The park's own network-wide pet policy is the authority here, but it's exactly why the call-ahead step matters - lock in the pet-friendly designation with the park itself rather than trusting an OTA listing.

The park setup

Guests describe the park as clean, tidy and well managed, with the usual holiday park mix done properly: pools, a camp kitchen, bunk-bed cabins for families, and ensuite sites if you want your own bathroom. Getting there and parking

Turn off the Bruce Highway onto Yaamba Road and the park is right there, with parking at your own site or cabin. That highway position is the whole point: no crawling through suburban Rockhampton with a van on the back.

While you're out there

Eddie Baker Dog Park is a short drive away in Norman Gardens when your dog needs a proper off-leash run, and The Dock Cafe Rockhampton is close by for a coffee stop you don't have to leave the dog in the car for. If the park's pet sites are booked out, Southside Holiday Village on the other side of town also takes dogs in dedicated pet-friendly cabins.
