Powered sites generally carry no pet surcharge, while group cabins commonly add a pet fee of around fifty dollars per stay plus a refundable bond; Mooroopna's exact figures are not published, so confirm both when booking. Management can limit the number of dogs per reservation and may ask for vaccination records. Once approved, dogs stay under control at all times, and you own the cleanup and any damage or disturbance they cause.

Worth knowing

The park covers roughly 2.5 acres and was rebuilt after the 2022 floods, with new cabins, air conditioning and new hot water systems, so the accommodation is fresher than the park's age suggests. Because it is a small quiet ground rather than a resort, there is no off-lead area inside the fence, so plan exercise off-site.

Getting there and parking

Lawson Street is on the Mooroopna side of the river, an easy few minutes from the Goulburn Valley Highway and Shepparton's cafes. Sites and cabins have parking at the door.

Close by with the dogs

The fenced Princess Park dog park in Shepparton is the obvious off-lead stop, and Victoria Park Lake gives a flat on-lead loop for a morning walk. For coffee, Noble Monks is a short drive, and if Aspen Lodge is full the dog-friendly Acacia Gardens Caravan Park is the other Mooroopna option.
