McLaren Vale Cabin Caravan Park

McLaren Vale Cabin Caravan Park on Field Street is a central, budget-friendly base that takes dogs in two pet cabins and on camping sites, with an on-site off-leash area and the main street an easy walk away. For touring the Vale with a dog, the location does a lot of the work.

Dogs at McLaren Vale Cabin Caravan Park

Dogs stay inside the two Standard Open Plan pet-friendly cabins for a $30 pet fee, or on powered camping sites at no extra charge. They must be leashed and under control in all common areas and may not be left unattended at any time, in cabins or on sites. Dogs are not permitted in the amenities blocks, camp kitchen, BBQ areas, playground or pool, and persistent barking is not tolerated. Book a pet cabin ahead, because there are only two.

The grounds

It is a relaxed, family-run style park with grassy powered sites, ensuite sites and a camp kitchen, set on the flat so walking the dog around the grounds is easy. The on-site off-leash area is the rare part for a caravan park this central: proper exercise without driving anywhere.

Getting there and parking

The park is at 48 Field Street, just off Main Road, within walking distance of cafes and cellar doors. Site and cabin parking is at your door, and shops are close enough to walk.

Close by with the dogs

The paved Willunga Basin Trail is close for an on-lead leg-stretch toward Willunga, and Sam I Am Cafe is a coffee stop in town. For a tasting day, S.C. Pannell is among the Vale's cellar doors a short drive away.
