Outside, the property is not fully fenced, so a leash is required at all times in the garden and grounds, and dogs cannot be left unattended in the house, on the deck or in the yard. Guests clean up after their dogs in the grassed areas and car park before departure. There is no fixed pet fee listed, but extra cleaning or damage charges can be billed if the house rules are breached, so tell the property about your dog when you book.

The homestead sits on Centenary Drive a few minutes from Maleny's main street, about 30 minutes inland from the Sunshine Coast beaches via Landsborough. Parking is on site, and the town's cafes, cheese factory and lookout are all short drives.

While you're out there

Hinterland bush walks are mostly dog-free because they protect wildlife, but the town's designated runs are close: the fully fenced enclosures with separate large and small dog yards at the Maleny Community Precinct dog park, and the signed off-leash times on the open grass at Maleny Showground. Keep the dog leashed on the road and reserve links between them.
