Casa On Cedar is a five-bedroom holiday home at 80 Cedar Drive in Llanarth, on the eastern side of Bathurst NSW, set up for large groups and welcoming dogs inside a fully fenced yard. For dog owners travelling with family or friends, it solves the two hardest problems at once: enough bedrooms for everyone and secure outdoor space for the dog.

The house

It is a modern, well-reviewed home built for groups, with a games room that includes table tennis and an arcade machine. Past guests frequently mention the welcome basket, comfy beds and the sheer space of the place, and it holds a five-star average across dozens of reviews. For a wet Bathurst afternoon with the dog drying off by the door, the games room is doing the heavy lifting.

Pepsi: five bedrooms, a fenced yard and no houses behind us meant our pointer could actually run. The arcade machine kept the humans busy while she supervised.

Out and about in Bathurst

Bathurst Regional Council maintains 12 designated off-leash areas. The standout is the Kefford Street Off-Leash Dog Park, fully fenced with separate areas for dogs under and over 10kg, agility equipment, shade, solar lighting and water. Russell Street Park near the Police Paddock is a 24-hour off-leash area beside Vale Creek, though it is not enclosed, and the Macquarie River corridor along the River Walk allows dogs off leash under effective control.

Closer to the house, Berry Park on the edge of Kelso next to the Macquarie River is a calm on-leash option with picnic tables, about ten minutes from Cedar Drive.
