The Lodge Jamberoo

The Lodge Jamberoo is a converted retro motel turned boutique stay at 406 Jamberoo Mountain Road, with gardens, a sauna, a hot tub and a small number of rooms set aside for guests travelling with dogs. It doubles as a wedding and events venue, which shapes both the vibe and the timing of a booking here.

Dogs at the Lodge

Dogs stay in designated dog friendly rooms only, so check with the team that one is available for your dates before you lock anything in. The dog fee is $150 per room per stay, charged under the venue's accommodation policy, and an unnotified dog found in a room incurs a $250 fee. Only dogs are permitted - no other animals - and you are responsible for yours for the whole stay.

The vibe

The redesign leans into the retro motel bones with a photogenic result: a champagne garden, games room, sauna and hot tub for guests, and Lulu's, the on-site restaurant, with outdoor alfresco seating. Rooms are styled and comfortable, and the valley setting on Jamberoo Mountain Road feels a world away from the coast despite being minutes from the village.

Getting there and parking

The Lodge sits on Jamberoo Mountain Road on the edge of the village, with one car park allocated per room. Kiama and the coastal towns are a short drive back down the hill, and check-in runs from 3pm with a 10am checkout.

Close by with the dogs

The fenced Jamberoo Dog Park is a short drive into the village for an off lead run. For dinner, Lulu's at The Lodge is on your doorstep, though ask whether the alfresco area takes dogs when you book your room.
