Oaks Beach Caravan & Relocatable Homes Village

Oaks Beach Caravan and Relocatable Homes Village is a family-owned park on Burnett Heads Road, a short drive east of Bundaberg and a common base for the Southern Great Barrier Reef coast. It welcomes dogs on sites and, usefully for dog owners, offers some fenced sites so containment does not depend on a makeshift enclosure.

Dogs are accepted on powered and unpowered camping and caravan sites, with dedicated fenced sites available for pets. Once on site, dogs stay on a lead whenever they are off your own patch, are never left unattended, and you clean up after them. Drinking water is available in the park.

The vibe

This is a relaxed, community-minded village rather than a busy resort, mixing travellers with permanent relocatable homes, and the waterfront is roughly 300 metres away on foot. One crucial local rule: dogs are prohibited on Oaks Beach itself because it is a patrolled swimming beach, so plan on-leash walks along the esplanades and paths toward South Head Parklands and the Burnett Heads Lighthouse instead.

Getting there and nearby
