Dogs at the park

Dogs are welcome on powered caravan and camping sites, and the park runs a specific pet-friendly cabin category (the Standard 2 Bedroom Cabin Pet Friendly), so a cabin stay with the dog is possible if you pick the right category at checkout; ordinary cabins do not take pets. You must notify the park you are bringing a dog before booking, as unapproved pets can cost you the booking. Dogs are not permitted from 15 December to 31 January. A per-night pet fee applies, and the current rate shows at booking. On the ground, leads are required outside your site or cabin at all times, dogs stay out of communal facilities like the camp kitchen and pool, and you are responsible for clean-up and barking control.

The park and the vibe

This is a family-oriented coastal park with an indoor heated pool, playground, BBQ areas and a coffee van in the mornings, and guests mention bunk-bed cabins and possum spotting after dark. The beach access is the headline: Geographe Bay's calm, shallow water is effectively at the door. It is built for a straightforward beach holiday rather than a boutique stay.

Getting there and out with the dog

The park is about two and a half hours' drive south of Perth, between Busselton and Dunsborough. The Broadwater beach crossovers closest to the park have council-designated dog exercise zones, with access points around Alan Street and Lockhart Street, though some stretches are seasonal or prohibited, so read the signage at each beach entry before unclipping. Foreshore paths are on-lead.

The Busselton Jetty foreshore has a long walkable coastal path with outdoor dining; The Vasse Tavern and Burger Bones are the Busselton dog-friendly dining picks. Dogs cannot ride the jetty train or enter the underwater observatory, so split the jetty visit if you have the dog with you.
