BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park

BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park sits at 28 Flinders Parade on the Middleton Beach foreshore, the only holiday park in Albany with direct dune access to the beach. It takes dogs, but only in one part of the park and only for part of the year, so read the rules before you book: this is a site-based pet stay, not a cabin one.

Dogs at the BIG4 Middleton Beach Holiday Park

Dogs are permitted on powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites only, never in the chalets, villas or beach houses. Pet stays are limited to low and mid-season, with no dogs accepted during school holidays or public holiday long weekends. Pet bookings cannot be made through the online system; you need prior approval from the park team, arranged directly by phone, before your dates will hold. Maximum two dogs per site, on lead at all times, never left unattended, and owners clean up immediately. Bring your own bowls and bedding, as pet amenities are not provided.

Max: phone the park before you pay for anything. If your dates fall inside a school holiday window, the dog does not stay, and that is not something to discover at the gate with a caravan on the back.

The place

The park runs from basic tent sites up to paved ensuite caravan sites with private bathrooms, and the built accommodation spans three-bedroom beach houses, spa villas and standard chalets. Facilities include a solar-heated outdoor pool, a heated indoor hydro spa, a modern camp kitchen with an indoor fireplace, two playgrounds, a jumping pillow, a mini movie theatre, games room, BBQ areas, a dump point and an on-site kiosk.

Getting there

Middleton Beach is the beachside suburb of Albany, about four and a half hours south of Perth via Albany Highway. The park fronts Flinders Parade at the southern end of the beachfront, with each site having dedicated car and caravan or tent space.

While you're out there

The beach in front of the park is not an off-leash beach; the nearest off-leash stretch is east of the park via the Surfers Beach car park, and Albany's leashed coastal paths around the headland suit a morning walk.
