Beerwah Caravan Park

Beerwah Caravan Park, also known as Gowinta Farms, is a working strawberry farm park in Beerwah at the southern end of the Glass House Mountains. It is dog-friendly by request only: contact the park for approval before you book, because pets are not an automatic part of any site reservation.

Dogs at the park

Once approved, the park runs a genuine two-track setup for dogs. Some sites are standard pet-friendly sites, and a smaller number are fenced sites built to keep a dog contained, which is a real advantage if your dog needs a contained patch rather than a tether. Fenced sites are limited and do not apply to every zone of the park, so request one explicitly when you ask for pet approval rather than hoping one is free on arrival.

The park is set up for caravanners and campers first, so expect pets to be restricted from or tightly ruled around any cabin-style accommodation. If you specifically need a cabin, clear the pet rules for that exact booking before you pay. The farm setting

While you're out there

The park is a practical base for Australia Zoo and the Glass House Mountains. Mill Park Fenced Dog Park on Simpson Street gives an off-lead run in town, and the Ewen Maddock Dam Main Track at Landsborough is the longer walk. The Local Beerwah Cafe & Bar is the coffee stop, and Landsborough Holiday Park is an alternative pet-friendly base one town over.
