Beechworth Holiday Park

Beechworth Holiday Park is a shady, bush-backed caravan park at 151 Stanley Road, set where Silver and Spring Creeks meet about two minutes from the historic town centre. Tall eucalypts, creekside sites, a camp kitchen and fire pits give it a relaxed camping feel, and it is one of the few stays around Beechworth that takes dogs on both sites and in cabins. A walking track runs straight past the park, so the morning lead walk starts at your door.

Dogs at the Beechworth Holiday Park

Dogs are welcome on all powered and unpowered tent and van sites, and inside a limited set of eight designated pet-friendly cabins: two budget, five studio and one lakeview villa. These must be booked in advance, and a per-pet cleaning surcharge applies on top of the standard rate, so confirm the amount when reserving. A maximum of two dogs applies per site or cabin.

The park rules are standard but enforced: dogs on a lead at all times, never left unattended, and owners clean up immediately. You are responsible for any damage or disturbance. Dogs are typically kept off bedding and furniture in cabins. There is no dog wash on site, so bring bowls, bedding and towels. Declare your pet when booking rather than turning up with one.

The place

Beyond the dog setup, the park has an outdoor pool, camp kitchen and BBQ areas, fire-pit hire in season, a children's playground and free Wi-Fi, though mobile reception can be patchy in the bushier corners. Accommodation ranges from studios and family cabins to a three-bedroom Tree House sleeping eleven and glamping pods in the lower, more natural section. Reviews consistently rate cleanliness and the quiet bush setting.

Getting there and getting out

The park sits about 1.5 kilometres from Beechworth's town centre, an easy walk or two-minute drive. Lake Sambell and its scenic paths are close by, and the walking and cycling trails through the historic precinct take dogs on lead. Several town cafes welcome dogs in outdoor areas, including Coffee Staines and Two Sisters on High in nearby Yackandandah.
