Bella Vista is a pet-welcome self-contained suite on Nara Avenue in Airlie Beach, set on the hill above town with ocean and mountain views over Pioneer Bay. It trades a little distance from the main strip for a quiet outlook, and dogs are taken by prior arrangement with the hosts.

Dogs at the suite

Pets are welcome on request and must be approved by the hosts before you book, so the booking starts with a conversation. Third-party listings put the arrangements at a maximum of around 20kg per pet, up to two pets, and a fee of roughly AU$20 to $30 per pet per night, but listing details vary, so get the weight limit, pet count and fee confirmed in writing when you enquire. The property itself is not fully fenced, though there is a large secure fenced balcony, and pets must not be left unattended.

The place

It is a self-contained suite with ocean views and a kitchenette, set in a residential pocket just above the Airlie Beach strip. Guests single out the view, the space and the hosts, and the setup works for a couple with a dog rather than a large group.

Getting there and parking

The suite is on Nara Avenue, walkable down to the Port of Airlie marina and the town centre. On-site parking is usually available; confirm it with the host when you book, since the hillside street is steep and street parking is limited. Proserpine (Whitsunday Coast) Airport is about 40 minutes away by car.

Close by with the dogs

The Airlie Beach Boardwalk runs along the foreshore below the hill for an on-leash walk, and Harry's Corner Cafe is one of several town cafés with dog-friendly outdoor seating. If you need a different base, Airlie Beach Lodge is another in-town option.
