What visitors mention
Seaview sits on Pertobe Road across from the Warrnambool foreshore, and the reason to bring the dog is the large elevated deck looking out over Lady Bay and the Southern Ocean. Dogs are welcome on that deck, making it one of the better water-view feeds in town for a dog owner.
The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on the large elevated outdoor deck, not in the indoor dining rooms. Staff are used to dogs and will usually bring a water bowl on request. The deck is high and catches the sea breeze, so a small mat or blanket helps your dog settle comfortably.
Good to know. The view is the headline, with uninterrupted ocean across the bay. The kitchen leans on local seafood, with fish and chips, calamari and seasonal platters the regular picks, and it is a popular late-afternoon spot for a drink at sunset.
Getting there and parking. The address is 1/80 Pertobe Road, right by the foreshore. There is plenty of street parking along Pertobe Road and in the carparks around Lake Pertobe, and it is an easy stop if you are already walking the promenade.
Nearby with the dogs. Lake Pertobe is right next door for an on-leash walk, and the foreshore promenade runs along the coast for a longer stretch. Note the main beach between the Flume and the Breakwater is closed to dogs from 1 December to 31 March, so check the season before heading to the sand.

When to go. Late afternoon for sunset drinks is the prize, though that is also the busiest stretch on the deck. A weekday lunch is quieter if you want room to settle the dog. Good for sociable dogs who like a breezy, open setting.
