Manolas Deli Bar Bistro

Manolas Deli Bar Bistro is the Manolas family's continental deli, wine bar and bistro in the Capri on Via Roma waterfront precinct on the Isle of Capri, a short hop west of the Gold Coast tourist strip. It trades 10am to 4pm Monday and Tuesday, 10am to 8:30pm Wednesday and Thursday, and 7am to 8:30pm Friday through Sunday, with breakfast on weekends and dinner from Wednesday. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables, so a canal-side lunch with the dog is entirely doable.

The dog setup

Leashed dogs join you at the alfresco and promenade tables along the waterfront walkway; the venue is explicit that dogs are not permitted inside for health and safety reasons. Pick a promenade table where the dog can settle beside your chair clear of foot traffic, and staff are generally happy to bring water out on request, though a travel bowl in the bag is the reliable play. Weekend breakfasts and long lunches fill the boardwalk, so weekday mid-morning is the quiet window.

Deli, bistro and bar

The bistro kitchen runs Mediterranean: wood-fired pizza, handmade pastas including a pappardelle lamb ragu, seafood linguine, bug and prawn risotto, antipasti and charcuterie boards, matched by an award-winning wine list and a serious cocktail shelf. Around the restaurant sits a fully stocked continental deli with imported cheeses, olives, fresh pasta and house-baked sweets, plus grazing platters, hampers and catering if you are feeding a crowd.

Getting there and parking

The precinct is at 15-21 Via Roma on the Isle of Capri, reached over the bridge from Chevron Island or off Bundall Road, with dedicated parking through the Capri on Via Roma complex. It is an easy flat walk once parked, and the canal-side boardwalk makes for a good leashed wander before or after the table.

Close by with the dogs

For an off-lead run nearby, Hedges Avenue Off Leash Dog Park at Broadbeach is a few minutes south, and The Spit via Federation Trail makes a proper leached-out walk north of the strip. Leaf Cafe and Co is the dog-friendly coffee option over the bridge.
