The dog setup
Dogs join you at the front outdoor and footpath seating; inside stays people only. The doggy donut is the house treat for four-legged guests, made by the cafe itself, so it is worth asking even if none are displayed. Water bowls are not guaranteed, so carry your own on warm mornings. The 5am opening is the real bonus for dog owners: an early beach or foreshore walk in Shellharbour can end here before the village wakes up.

Worth knowing
The coffee is the drawcard. Beans are roasted in house daily and the blends lean Italian, smooth and rich, and the menu has local favourites like a loaded big breakfast plate and smashed avo on sourdough. The cafe has also run tapas, cocktails and live music sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings; those sit outside the posted 5am to 2:30pm day service, so check the RawR Facebook page before planning an after-dark visit.
Getting there and parking
The roastery cafe sits at Shop 20, 23 Addison Street in Shellharbour Village, with street parking along Addison Street and the surrounding side streets. Weekend mornings get busy as the village is the main eat-and-drink strip, so earlier is easier with a dog in tow. Everything in the village, from the shops to the water, is walkable from the door.
Close by with the dogs
Make a morning of it in the village: C9 Chocolate and Gelato and Bean Roasted Espresso Bar are other dog-friendly coffee stops nearby, and Andaman Thai Restaurant covers dinner if you are staying on. For an overnight base, NRMA Shellharbour Beachside Holiday Park welcomes dogs at the beachside end of town.
