Bean Roasted Espresso Bar

Bean Roasted Espresso Bar is a small, busy coffee shop at Shop 1/20-26 Addison Street in Shellharbour Village, geared to quick service and a morning hit. Dogs are welcome at the footpath tables out front, which makes it an easy pit stop partway through a foreshore walk around the harbour and the southern rock shelf.

The dog setup

Dogs join you at the outdoor footpath tables directly on Addison Street, on lead and close in, with flat, easy access from the kerb. Water bowls are typically out front for visiting dogs, though on a warm Illawarra morning carrying your own is never a bad idea. The front strip is the whole dog offering; inside is not an option for pets.

Worth knowing

The bar pours Campos coffee, led by the Campos Superior Blend, and the toasties are the food item people keep ordering. It suits a coffee-and-go rather than a long sit-down: seating is limited and the strip gets busy on weekends. Hours run 6am to 5pm weekdays and 7am to 4pm on weekends, so the early shift works before a beach walk.

Getting there and parking

Addison Street is the main street of Shellharbour Village, with free street parking along it and the surrounding blocks, tighter on weekend mornings. The cafe sits a short walk from the harbour foreshore path, and the village beach is across the road, noting dogs are not permitted on the sand itself.

Close by with the dogs

The council's nearest off-leash ground is the Shell Cove Dog Park reserve on Bass Point Tourist Road, a few minutes' drive south. Other dog-friendly tables in the village include Pacino's Cafe and Darley Street Local if Bean Roasted's footpath is full.
