Cleopatra Scarborough

Cleopatra is a busy all-day cafe and restaurant on The Esplanade, directly across from Scarborough Beach, trading from breakfast through to dinner with ocean views. Its street-front alfresco area is where dogs are welcome.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome at the outdoor alfresco seating, which opens onto the footpath, rather than inside the restaurant. Keep your dog on a lead at the table. Staff often bring water, but pack your own bowl to be sure. It is worth booking ahead if you want to lock in an outdoor spot at a peak time.

Good to know. The menu spans brunch to dinner, with garlic prawns, pork belly and creative pancakes among the regular orders, plus a strong cocktail and wine list. The pull is the bustling coastal setting opposite the beach.

Getting there. Shop 8/9 The Esplanade, Scarborough. Free street parking is on The Esplanade with paid lots nearby, and buses stop along West Coast Highway.

Nearby with the dogs. The Scarborough foreshore is right across the road for a walk, and Peasholm Dog Beach is a short drive for an off-leash swim.
