Buteko - Brazilian Restaurant

Buteko is a Brazilian restaurant on Scarborough Beach Road, a short walk from the Scarborough Beach foreshore in Perth's northern suburbs. It brings churrasco style barbecue, street food snacks and tropical cocktails to the beach strip, with live music on Friday nights and a faithful local following. The menu is hearty Brazilian comfort food. The BBQ board is the signature: a big sharing board of churrasco meats built around picanha, with surf and turf combinations adding prawns to the mix. Smaller plates cover the classics, including creamy chicken coxinhas, chorizo croquettes and cassava chips, and there is a seafood platter for the table. Cocktails lean tropical, and the Friday night live music turns dinner into a proper evening out. Getting there and parking

Buteko sits at 3 Scarborough Beach Road, steps from the beachfront precinct, about 15 minutes north of the Perth CBD. Parking is spread across the foreshore car parks and the side streets off the beach road, and it fills on summer evenings and weekends. The venue is walkable from the beach esplanade, which makes the dog beach two street crossings away.

While you're out there

The main Scarborough swimming beach is off limits to dogs, but Peasholm Dog Beach just south along West Coast Highway is the designated off leash run, with wash down hoses and drink stations. Abbett Park Reserve Fenced Dog Park is the inland option on Deanmore Road, and Trigg Dog Beach continues the coastal run north.
