Little Sparrow Noosa

Little Sparrow sits at 11 Hastings Street, Noosa Heads, right on the main strip a few steps from the Main Beach boardwalk. It runs two personalities: an all-day cafe from 7am and a Greek seafood restaurant and taverna by night. Dogs are welcome at the shaded outdoor footpath tables, making it one of the more comfortable Hastings Street stops to actually sit down with a dog.

The dog setup

Leashed dogs join you at the outdoor dining area along the Hastings Street footpath, not inside. Staff are used to dogs passing through one of the busiest shopping strips in the country, so a settled dog gets a friendly reception. Bring your own water bowl and tuck your dog in beside the chair out of the main foot traffic flow.

The food

By day it is specialty coffee with award wins behind it, fresh pastries and a full breakfast and brunch menu until mid afternoon. From late afternoon the kitchen swings to Greek and Mediterranean seafood: chargrilled prawns, lobster rolls, grilled haloumi, zucchini flowers and moussaka. It trades daily from 7am until late, so there is a dog-friendly window almost any hour you roll into Noosa.

Getting there and parking

Hastings Street runs from the Noosa Junction side down to the beach. Parking is in the paid car parks off Viewland Drive and Noosa Drive, and they fill early on summer mornings, so come before 9am or use the free Junction bus and walk down. From the Main Beach boardwalk it is a short walk up to the strip.

Close by with the dogs

Work in a coffee circuit with Jungle and Co up the road, keep dinner going at Barefoot Bar and Grill over in Noosaville, or finish at Muse Noosa for a drink.

Go early for a quiet coffee with the dog; come evening it is a proper strip dinner, lively but workable with a settled dog.
