Swings & Roundabouts Margaret River

Swings & Roundabouts is a relaxed winery cafe in the Margaret River region, on Caves Road at Yallingup, built around a huge grassy lawn and wood-fired pizza. It is one of the most genuinely dog-friendly cellar doors in the area, with a dedicated dog water station and plenty of room to spread out.

The dog setup. Dogs on leads are welcome on the large lawn and in the outdoor seating areas, and you can do a wine tasting while the dog stays beside you on the outdoor courtyard. Dogs are not inside the main building or restaurant, but the outdoor space is the main event here anyway. There is a dedicated dog drinking station on-site with bowls for different sizes.

Good to know. The venue is known for its wood-fired pizza, swing seats and laid-back, family-friendly feel rather than a hushed tasting room. Pick a table at the edge of the lawn so your dog has room to lie down away from foot traffic.

Getting there and parking. The address is 2872 Caves Road, Yallingup, on the main road between Dunsborough and Margaret River. There is a large unsealed car park directly in front, with level access from the car park onto the lawns.

Nearby with the dogs. Coastal walking paths around Yallingup are close by, and other dog-friendly cellar doors in the region make it easy to build a day around it.

Weekends and school holidays get busy, so arrive early for a shady lawn spot. Mild, dry afternoons are ideal, since the whole experience is outdoors.
