Maleny Lane is an open-air laneway food hall at 37 Maple Street, tucked behind the main street storefronts, with a clutch of street-food stalls around a courtyard. Because it is largely outdoor and undercover, it is an easy place to bring a dog and graze across a few different vendors.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome on-leash throughout the courtyard and undercover seating, with plenty of laneway tables where a dog can settle beside you. It gets busy and crowded, so this suits a dog that is relaxed around people and other dogs. Water bowls turn up sometimes, but bring your own. Do not feed the dog from the table.

Good to know. The stalls cover a wide spread, dumplings, Indian curry, crepes and lamb wraps among them, plus fresh juices and iced tea. Lane 32 Woodfired Pizza Bar at the back is also dog-friendly. The vibe is casual and community-driven, often with live music.

Getting there. Enter from the Maple Street footpath into the laneway. Street parking runs along Maple Street and fills on weekends.

Nearby with the dogs. The Maleny Hotel beer garden is a short walk for another dog-friendly sit-down. The Maleny town trail and Gardners Falls are close for a scenic on-leash walk.

Best on a quieter weekday if your dog is crowd-shy, or a weekend if you want the buzz and music.
