Alida Restaurant at Penny Royal

Alida sits inside the historic Penny Royal complex, a transformed quarry with a water-filled basin and old buildings around it. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor and courtyard tables, with plenty of footpath to walk them right there.

The dog setup. Dogs join you at the outdoor, undercover and courtyard seating, looking out over the historic precinct. The indoor dining and tavern areas are reserved for assistance dogs only. Bring your own water bowl, as supply varies, and use the surrounding footpaths to settle the dog before you sit.

Nearby with the dogs. The South Esk River walkways near Seaport are close by, City Park is a short walk or drive for grassy open space, and Cataract Gorge (on-leash) is right alongside the precinct for a longer scenic outing.

When to go. A fine-weather lunch is the pick, when the courtyard catches the light and there is room to settle the dog before the venue fills.
