The Fishermens Wharf Huskisson

The Fishermens Wharf is a casual bay bistro at 15 Field Street on the Huskisson waterfront, built around fresh local seafood, cold beer and wide water views over Jervis Bay. One thing to get straight before you go: dog access here is not a sure thing, so treat it as a ring-ahead venue rather than a guaranteed dog-friendly table.

The dog setup

Dogs are not allowed inside the building. Outdoor seating exists, but whether the dog can join you out there varies with the deck layout and venue rules, and it is not clearly confirmed anywhere official. Worth knowing

The draw is the seafood and the position rather than a big dog welcome: seafood baskets, prawns, calamari and a fish of the day, with live music at times. Feedback is genuinely mixed, so go for the view and a plate of fresh catch rather than expecting a standout dining experience. Hours run mornings to mid afternoon, 9am to 2pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 3pm weekends, so it is a lunch venue, not a dinner one.

Getting there and parking

It sits at the end of Field Street. Huskisson parking tightens up badly on weekends and holiday periods, so allow extra time to find a spot before the lunch window closes at 2pm on weekdays.

Close by with the dogs

The Huskisson Hotel on Owen Street welcomes dogs on its outdoor deck, balcony and terrace with water views, and Harley's @ Husky is a friendly coffee stop with dogs welcome outside. The Huskisson to Vincentia Shared Path is the leg-stretcher, running along the bay with the dog on lead.
