Inara Busselton

Inara brings modern Middle Eastern and Levantine cooking to central Busselton - shared plates of lamb shoulder, octopus, hummus with green tahini and kunefe, served from a warm coastal room a short walk from the foreshore. The venue answers the dog question directly on its own channels: well-behaved dogs are welcome, and the outdoor courtyard and alfresco tables are where they belong.

The dog setup

Dogs are welcome in the outdoor courtyard and alfresco area; the inside dining room stays people-only. When you book, ask specifically for a courtyard or alfresco table so there is floor space for the dog - the alfresco tables go first on dinner services. Staff are welcoming but do not keep water bowls out, so bring your own. This suits calm dogs who will settle through a longer, share-plate style meal rather than a quick feed.

Worth knowing

The kitchen bakes its own bazlama bread and does a slow-baked shakshuka, lamb dumplings and broccoli tabouleh, with a serious cocktail and mocktail list alongside. Hours run across lunch and dinner six days - closed Mondays, dinner from 5pm Tuesday and Wednesday, lunch service Thursday through Sunday - and it books out, so reserve ahead rather than walking in with the dog in tow.

Inara sits in the Busselton Central area of town, with street parking on the surrounding blocks and easy access from the adjacent public car parks.

Close by with the dogs

The Busselton foreshore and jetty precinct is a short walk for an on-leash leg-stretch - note the central foreshore lawns between Marine Terrace and Gale Street are on-leash only per City of Busselton.
