Due South

The lead. Due South sits right on the Albany waterfront with marina and bay views, and a spacious outdoor area that welcomes dogs. It is an easy choice for a casual lunch or sunset drinks with the dog along for the ride.

The dog setup. Dogs are welcome in the roomy outdoor seating, which is well covered and sheltered from the wind. You will generally order inside, though staff may run drinks to the table. Water bowls are usually offered on request, but pack your own to be safe.

Good to know. The view of the waterfront and marina is the headline. The menu runs casual through to higher-end pub fare, steak sandwiches, pizza, fresh mussels and fish and chips, and there is live music at times.

Getting there and parking. Find it at 6 Toll Place on the marina waterfront. There is free parking in the adjacent lot plus surrounding street parking, and the venue is wheelchair accessible and easy to move around with a dog.

Nearby with the dogs. Anzac Peace Park is a short walk for grassy space, the marina walkway runs right past the door, and small Boatshed Beach is close by for a quick leg-stretch.
