Due South

Due South sits right on the Albany waterfront at 6 Toll Place, looking over the marina and Princess Royal Harbour. It is a big, casual dining room and deck where the view does most of the talking, and the menu runs from steak sandwiches and pizza to chilli mussels and fish and chips. The outdoor seating is where dogs go, and the setting makes it one of the easiest waterside lunch or sunset-drinks stops in town to bring them.

Water bowls are generally available for dogs, though there is no dedicated dog menu, so bring your own treats if a long lunch is planned. It is worth glancing at the seating layout when you arrive, as tables are split between smoking and non-smoking sections in the outdoor area.

Getting there and parking

Hours run 11am to 10pm Monday, Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 9pm Sunday, with Tuesday closed, so check the day before you plan a waterfront walk. The venue is on the marina precinct with parking around the waterfront, and the building is wheelchair accessible, which keeps moving around with a dog on a lead simple.

Close by with the dogs

Anzac Peace Park and the marina boardwalk are a short stroll from the door for an on-lead leg stretch before or after eating.
