Hamptons City Beach

Hamptons City Beach is the Hamptons-styled restaurant and bar right on Challenger Parade, with an outdoor deck looking straight out over the Indian Ocean. It's a smart-casual seafood and share-plates spot, and friendly dogs are welcome on the deck.

Getting there. It's at 179 Challenger Parade, City Beach, with public parking bays along the street and surrounding the beach reserve. Parking fills up fast on weekends and warm evenings, so aim to arrive early if you want a park close by.

Nearby with the dogs. The City Beach boardwalk runs right past the front door for a walk before or after your meal, and Floreat Dog Beach is a short drive north if your dog needs an off-leash run either side of your visit.

When to go. Weekday afternoons are calmer if you want the deck to yourself; book ahead for weekend sunset sittings. Good for dogs that settle well at a table rather than ones that want to wander.
