What visitors mention
Abbeville Street Park Fenced Dog Park sits on Kingsway Street in Upper Mount Gravatt, and it is one of the better fenced off-leash setups on Brisbane's southside. The park splits into separate secure areas for small and large dogs, and it sits inside a bigger recreation reserve with a playground and community garden, so it works well as a stop on a longer outing rather than a destination on its own.
The rules. Dogs can run off-leash only inside the fenced area itself. Owners need to supervise at all times, keep to the small-dog or large-dog section as appropriate, and remove any dog showing aggression straight away. Bring your own waste bags as a backup even though bins are provided.
What's there. The fencing is solid enough for reliable off-leash play, and mature trees give good shade for both dogs and owners. Water stations are usually on, but they are not something to rely on entirely, so a portable bowl is worth carrying. There's bench seating for owners but no public toilets on site, and lighting is limited, so this is a daylight-hours park.
Getting there. Street parking is available directly on Kingsway Street. Local bus routes run along Logan Road and Kessels Road a short walk away, and the park is close to the Upper Mount Gravatt commercial strip.
Nearby with the dogs. Zarraffa's Coffee in Upper Mount Gravatt is a few minutes away, and there are more dog-friendly cafes along Logan Road towards Westfield Garden City. For an overnight stay, Mount Gravatt Motel is nearby and takes pets on request.

When to go. Weekend mornings are the busiest, with plenty of regulars. If your dog prefers fewer distractions, aim for a weekday mid-morning or early afternoon instead. Good for confident dogs that enjoy company, though the separate small-dog area makes it workable for quieter dogs too.
