Nearby with the dogs. Tregear is mainly residential, so for a coffee or a bite afterwards the closest worthwhile stops are Cassandra's on the Park in St Marys and TNB Cafe in Rooty Hill.

When to go. Weekday mid-morning or mid-afternoon is the quietest window. The park is busiest from 6 to 8am and 4 to 6pm on weekdays and weekends. Because the surrounding reserve includes a baseball facility, expect extra foot traffic nearby during game times. Being open-air, the ground can be wet and muddy after rain, though the fencing keeps dogs contained regardless.
