What's there. A free on-site car park, a small agility course for training and enrichment, shaded seating for owners, and public restrooms. Water taps are on site, though it's worth carrying your own bowl.

Getting there. The park sits off Maitland Road via Park Road, 2 Park Rd, Tighes Hill. Local bus stops on Maitland Road are within walking distance, and the Throsby Creek walking path network connects straight into the park.

Nearby with the dogs. Tighes Hill's Maitland Road strip has a handful of cafes and a wood-fired pizza bar within a short drive, and Islington and Hamilton both have dog-friendly options if you're making a day of it. Confirm pet policies on arrival since they can change.

Late afternoons (4pm to 6pm) and weekend mornings draw the biggest crowds, and the creek access is tidal, so swimming is cleanest and deepest around high tide. If your dog is nervous around other dogs, a weekday midday visit avoids the after-work rush. Good for confident dogs with solid recall; less so for escape artists given the open boundary.
