St Clair Pooch Park Fenced Dog Park

St Clair Pooch Park is a fully fenced, off-leash dog park at 652 Torrens Road, Pennington, in Adelaide's western suburbs. The draw is simple: secure fencing wrapped around agility obstacles, sandy digging spots and open green space, open around the clock for a run whenever suits.

The dog setup

The surface mixes grass, sandy areas built for digging and paved paths, with tunnels, mounds and interactive agility obstacles spread through the layout. Mature trees provide natural shade and benches give owners a seat. The fencing is high quality and fully enclosing, which matters when Torrens Road runs past the gate.

Dogs must be under effective control at all times, and owners are responsible for the gates closing behind them. Waste bags and bins are typically provided, but carry spares. The leash-up buffer is the restriction that catches people out: dogs must be leashed on a lead of two metres or less within five metres of surrounding park equipment and public areas, and any dog showing aggression needs to leave straight away.

Max: that 5-metre playground buffer catches owners off guard. Clip the leash on before you approach the gate and any neighbouring equipment, not after.

This is a compact local park rather than a sprawling reserve, great for smaller dogs, puppies learning park manners, or a focused session on the obstacles. Regulars keep it friendly, and the 24-hour access makes early mornings easy before the after-work rush.

There is no dedicated car park, so use on-street parking on the nearby residential streets and check the signage. The park sits on Torrens Road, and Adelaide Metro bus stops along the same road are a short walk if you are coming in without a car.
