Flintwood Crescent Park Fenced Dog Park

Flintwood Crescent Park, often called Harmony Dog Park, is a fully fenced off-leash area inside the Harmony estate at Palmview on the Sunshine Coast. The enclosure holds a large open grassed field for running and fetch plus a dog agility zone, all behind double-gated fencing that keeps the escape routes covered.

The dog setup

Keep the lead on until you are through the double-gated entry, then off-leash play is fine inside the fence. Dogs must stay at least 5 metres clear of the neighbouring playground and family area at all times, owners need effective voice control, and any dog showing aggression is leashed and removed straight away. Waste bag dispensers are generally stocked on site, but carry your own as backup. Inside you will find a dog drinking fountain, seating, and agility obstacles for dogs that want more than flat grass.

Max: check the 5 metre playground buffer before you let your dog off, the fence runs close to the kids' side and it is the rule most likely to be enforced.

Worth knowing

The estate is new, so the shade trees are young and the park offers little natural shelter. In summer, go early or late to avoid heat stress on the open field. The broader park around the dog enclosure includes a playground with a flying fox, a basketball half-court, barbecues, undercover picnic shelters and public toilets, which makes it a genuine family outing spot rather than just a dog run.

Getting there and parking

From the Bruce Highway, take the Palmview and Glenview exit and follow signs into the Harmony estate along Peter Crosby Way, then onto Flintwood Crescent. Free street parking sits alongside the park, with a small car park at the northern end. Public transport does not run to the park directly, so it is a car trip or a walk within the estate.
