Blatchford Recreation Reserve Fenced Dog Park sits inside the larger Blatchford Recreation Reserve at 30 Blatchford Dr, Murrumba Downs, a fully fenced off-leash area suited to dogs of any size, with real shade over part of the run rather than bare open ground.

The rules. Dogs can only run off-leash inside the fenced section. Everywhere else in the reserve, leash up. Owners need voice control over their dog at all times, and waste bags and bins are provided, so cleaning up is straightforward. Any dog showing aggression should be leashed and removed.

What's there. Double-gated entry, a dog water tap, and seating under shade inside the fenced area. The wider reserve adds public toilets, BBQ facilities, picnic tables, a car park, and fitness equipment, plus a playground, basketball court, and pump track next door if you've got kids in tow.

Getting there. Access is off Goodfellows Road, Murrumba Downs, with dedicated on-site parking. It's wheelchair accessible from the car park through to the dog area.

Nearby with the dogs. Murrumba Downs Tavern is close by and may allow well-behaved dogs in outdoor dining areas, but confirm on the day since pet policies at pubs can change. Pet-friendly stays are easiest to find a short drive away in North Brisbane.

When to go. Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings through afternoons draw families and locals, so it gets busy. Weekdays, especially early mornings or midday, are quieter and a better bet if your dog needs space.
