Eastgrove Park Fenced Dog Park is a dedicated off-leash enclosure on Park Road in Goulburn, sitting alongside the local sporting fields. It is fenced with double-gated entry and has a real advantage over some of the town's other dog parks: established gum trees that throw genuine shade.
The rules. The fenced area is off-leash, but keep your dog under voice control and never leave it unattended inside. Close both gates properly on the way in and out. Female dogs in season are not permitted, and current vaccinations are expected. Clean up after your dog using the bins provided.
What's there. Double-gated entry, a water tap on-site, doggy waste bins, and seating under the shady gums for owners. The adjacent sports fields give the spot an open, settled feel.
Getting there. On Park Road, easy to reach from the town centre or off the Hume Highway, with parking near the sporting fields. Local bus options to this residential pocket are limited, so a car is the simplest approach.
When to go. Busiest early morning, after 4pm, and on weekends. For a quieter run, aim for the 10am to 2pm window on a weekday. The shade makes it a sensible warm-weather choice, and a calmer one for a timid dog if you pick an off-peak time.
