Pooch Park Tedder Reserve

Tedder Reserve's Pooch Park is a fully fenced, free off-leash dog park in Flinders Park, tucked into the River Torrens Linear Park corridor and open 24 hours a day.

The rules. Dogs run off-leash inside the fenced park itself, but must go back on-leash the moment you step out into the wider reserve. Owners need to keep dogs under effective control at all times, use both gates on entry and exit so nothing slips out, and clean up after their dog using the bins provided.

What's there. The park has agility equipment for training and play, gazebos, picnic tables and park benches for shade and rest, and water fountains for both dogs and people. Public toilets and electric barbecues sit nearby for a longer visit.

Getting there. The park is off Findon Road, Flinders Park, with free parking available there. Adelaide Metro buses run along Findon Road and Grange Road nearby, and it also connects into the River Torrens Linear Park trail for walkers and cyclists.

Nearby with the dogs. The Local Afare on Holbrooks Road is a short drive away for coffee and something to eat afterwards, and the wider Findon Road and Henley Beach Road strip has other dog-friendly outdoor seating options.

Weekday afternoons from about 4:30pm to 6pm are the busiest stretch as locals finish work, so aim for a weekday morning or an early evening if your dog prefers a quieter park, and bring a towel if it has rained since the ground holds water.
