Saddlers Reserve Fenced Dog Park

The basics. Saddlers Reserve is a small, fully fenced dog park tucked into a residential pocket of Evandale, accessed via a path between numbers 12 and 14 Saddlers Court. It is a no-frills, secured space built for a quick off-leash run or a bit of socialising rather than a long walk, and the fencing makes it a solid option if you want your dog off-lead without worrying about the road.

The rules. The area is enclosed, but check the fence line if your dog is a known escape artist before letting them off. Owners are expected to stay with their dogs at all times and pick up after them, a bag dispenser and bin are provided on-site. Keep dogs sociable and under control, and be ready to remove them if things get tense with another dog.

Evandale is reachable from Launceston by local bus, but driving in is the practical option for a visit that is really just this park.

When to go. Early morning and late afternoon tend to bring out local dogs after work or school, so aim for mid-morning or early afternoon on a weekday if you want the fenced area to yourselves. Good for a quick leg-stretch if you are passing through Evandale rather than a destination in its own right, and confirm hours and any local notices at the reserve gate.
