Gundagai Drive Park Fenced Dog Park is a fully fenced off-leash reserve on Gundagai Drive in Capalaba, with separate sections for small and large dogs so play stays safe and even-tempered.

The rules. Both dog areas use double-gated airlock entries. Close the first gate before opening the second so nothing bolts. Keep large and small dogs in their designated sections, stay in visual and voice control of your dog at all times, and carry your own waste bags as supply on-site can run out.

What's there. Secure perimeter fencing, a tap and bowl for water, shaded trees and some sheltered seating. The ground is open grass, which turns muddy after heavy rain, so pack a towel if the forecast has been wet.

Getting there. The address is 28 Gundagai Drive, Capalaba QLD 4157, reached via Redland Bay Road or the Mount Cotton Road turn-off, with street parking near the entrance. Capalaba Bus Station is the closest transit hub, about a 5 to 10 minute walk or short rideshare away.

Nearby with the dogs. IndigiScapes Cafe and The Bush Pantry, both on Runnymede Road in the IndigiScapes precinct, allow dogs in their outdoor garden and seating areas and are a reasonable stop after the park.

check both airlock gates are shut before you unclip the lead. It is a simple step that stops the one bad outcome that matters at a fenced park.

Mornings before 8am and late afternoons from 4:30 to 6:30 are busiest with the before/after work crowd. Mid-morning to early afternoon is quieter if your dog prefers fewer playmates, and it is worth skipping a visit for a day or two after heavy rain while the grass dries out.
