What visitors mention
The short version. Byford Bark Park is a fenced off-lead facility on the corner of Larsen Road and Sansimeon Boulevard, with two separate secure enclosures for large and small dogs. It is an open, grassy space with agility gear and a friendly community feel, open to the public daily.
The rules. Dogs need to be on-leash entering and leaving the enclosures, then off-leash inside under effective voice control. Any dog showing aggression must be removed straight away. Owners must stay inside the fenced area with their dogs, and waste bags and bins are provided so there is no excuse not to scoop.
What is there. Fully fenced runs keep escape artists in, and the split into large-dog and small-dog zones is the main draw. There is agility equipment for training, plus basic seating. Shade is limited in parts, so plan around it in summer.
Getting there. The park is on Larsen Road, easily reached off Thomas Road, with free parking adjacent. Local buses serve the Byford residential streets, but a car is by far the most direct option.
Nearby with the dogs. Byford's town centre cafes are about five minutes away by car, and the Byford Hills Walk Trail at Byford on the Scarp is close for a leashed bushwalk afterwards.

Weekday mid-mornings and early afternoons are the quietest. Late afternoons and weekend mornings get busy, which suits social dogs but can overwhelm anxious ones.
