@ Coffee & Soul is a small cafe at 31 King Edward Street in central Ulverstone with a big local reputation for strong coffee and home-baked scones, and dogs are welcome at the outdoor seating.

The dog setup. Dogs sit with you outside; ask the staff for a water bowl or bring your own. It is a casual, friendly spot and the welcome is known to extend to the dog end of the table.

Good to know. The home baking is the draw, scones and biscuits above all, and regulars call the coffee the best in the area. Hours are short: weekdays roughly 8am to 3pm, Saturday mornings only, closed Sundays. Confirm before you make a special trip.

Getting there. Free street parking on King Edward Street, right in the town centre.

Time it for a weekday morning, then walk the dog along the Leven River parklands a few minutes away. If you want the beach instead, Beach Hut Coffee is the other end of the same outing.
